The German manufactured and engineered PROFIVE® M5ITX industrial motherboard is designed in Mini ITX form factor.

Based on the Intel® LGA1700 socket, it supports 12th Gen Intel® Core™ / Pentium®/Celeron® series* CPUs with x86 core architecture and modern 7nm process technology and future successor generations are expected to be supported as well.
These are characterized, amongst other things, by their modern and new hybrid architecture, which focuses on both performance and energy-efficient cores.

The compact board - 170 x 170 mm - is an extremely powerful industrial motherboard with - depending on the CPU type - up to 16 cores and 24 threads.

A special feature is the high number of M.2 sockets (5x) as well as USB ports (4x internal / 6x external). In addition, there are three Displayport++ ports and 1 USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port with ALT mode (DP via USB-C).
The SATA port configuration is also lush. Besides 4x SATA (6G) with 2 separate 4-pin SATA power connectors, there is additionally a connection for SlimSAS (4 SATA ports / 6 Gb/s each).
Sound is output via HDA with line out / line in / MIC in 3x 3.5 mm jack.

The future-proof PCIe x16 (Gen5) socket enables the operation of powerful dedicated graphic cards or accelerator cards.
Equally future-proof is the use of two Intel® I226 network controllers with 2.5 Gbit each as well as the support of a modern DDR5 RAM memory.

The modern technologies with high bandwidth as well as the high maximum possible number of CPU cores and threads (depending on the CPU used) provides advantages especially for parallel applications and high data throughputs.
M5ITX is thus ideally suited for applications that require high CPU and/or GPU performance as well as numerous security features such as ECC &hardware TPM, among others.
For example:
Digital signage (up to 8K), AI systems, medical applications, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, high-performance and compact workstations, rugged industrial automation systems, control and regulation, instrumentation, IoT EDGE applications, and much more.

In addition, M5ITX is designed for 24/7 continuous operation and a temperature range of 0° to +60 degrees Celsius and features high long-term availability thanks to Intel® support.

Key features of the M5ITX motherboard include the Intel® R680E PCH chipset, a RAM of up to 64 GByte dual channel DDR5 SO-DIMM with ECC support (Error Correction Code / CPU dependent), as well as a flexible power supply: Single Power 12 V (DC) or ATX 12VO. The advanced security features include the "Intel® PTT" and a TPM 2.0 chip (Infineon) as well as health monitoring and management with adjustable fan control, hardware monitoring and watchdog.

The PROFIVE® M5ITX motherboard is delivered without CPU and without heatsink by default. Optionally, CPUs of the 12th generation Intel® CoreTM / Pentium® /Celeron® as well as suitable cooling solutions can be purchased and used individually.
